• First of all, be patient while the room downloads. Many people leave the room, thinking it is not working. Sometimes it just takes a little while for it to download and run. If it does not work after a reasonable amount of time, then try the next steps.
• Upgrade your browser. Anything older than Internet Explorer 3.0 or Netscape 3.0 will not be able to enter the room. Click here to download the latest version of Netscape. Click here to download the latest version of Internet Explorer.
• If you use AOL, anything older than AOL 3.0 will not be able to enter the room. Click here to download the latest version of AOL.

Still Can't Get in the Room?

• If you still can't get into the room through the The Brett Cullen Web Site, the room is also accessible through Internet Relay Chat (IRC). The room channel name is #brettcullen. If you have an IRC program on your computer, please skip the next step.
• To download an IRC program for Windows, please go to http://www.mirc.co.uk/get.html. To download an IRC program for Mac, please visit http://www.ircle.com/download.shtml. For a good help page for the Mac, please visit http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/mac/ircle_setup.html while you set it up. It should answer all your questions.
• Once you have downloaded the free software, open up the IRC and find the "Options" menu (it may open up to this menu automatically when you launch the program). Click on "Connect" and you will be presented with a drop down menu of different servers. Look for the server name "chat.planetz.net." If it is not in your menu, you simply add the server to your list by clicking on the "Add" button. In the description field, type in something like "Brett Cullen Chat" and in the IRC Server field, type in "chat.planetz.net." Then go back to the menu and it will appear as whatever name you gave it, such as "Brett Cullen Chat." Enter a username, password and e-mail address, and then click on "Connect." It should connect you to the server and present a list of rooms (or channels) from which to choose. You may double click on #brettcullen from that list or type #brettcullen in the field that says "Enter name of channel to join." Hit enter. It should take you directly to the room and your username will appear on the right hand side.
